Question: I am erasmus in Thessaloniki, should i stay at dormitory or should i rent a room?

Welcome to Thessaloniki!
You will love Thessaloniki don't worry, take a deep breath and start to search a room! Absolutely do not rent a room from dormitory! Dormitories in Thessaloniki are really expensive if you compare with other rooms. You can find rooms with really good opportunity. But from where? Answer is quite easy! From ESN Thessaloniki. Talk with ESN members. They will show you some rooms or they will give you informations about landlords. And you can use ESN facebook page. Why? Because post-erasmus students, like me, are still using this pages and we know nearly all landlords :) There is another topic that don't believe all landlords. They might be liars. Never rent a room without talk with ESN members. In Thessaloniki one room for one person is normally 150€-200€ ( all included ). Do not pay more. Dormitories are 210€ for per person, and you will live with one more erasmus. It means one room 420€ ( 2013-2014 season ). NO TO OIKOTRUST. Just talk with ESN members and ask a question at Erasmus Thessaloniki page.
